About Us

I’m Marisa & I am a certified infant sleep consultant.

When I was pregnant, I had absolutely no idea about daily nap schedules and bedtime routines.

Let me go back a couple of years:

In 2018, my husband and I decided to try for a baby. I thought it was going to take at least 6 months maybe even a year but boy was I wrong! I got pregnant within 6 weeks! Leading up to the week I found out I was preggers, my symptoms were mediocre but weird. I had a headache for a week straight and my stomach hurt as well. It hurt all week off and on. It was so weird. I thought it was something I ate. I told my hubby that I hadn’t been feeling well and he immediately said. “OMG! You’re pregnant!” I was like “No way, it has only been a little over a month, I mean how could I be pregnant already!”

Well my husband’s birthday was 3 days away and he wanted to find out on his actual birthday. He ran to Target and picked up a pregnancy test. He was so excited and I honestly did not think I was pregnant.

So the morning of his birthday, he literally jumped out of bed and grabbed the pregnancy test. Ummmm this was before a cup of coffee…. is he crazy!!? I told him I needed a cup of coffee first. I made my coffee, took a few sips and we just couldn’t wait any longer. We were dying inside! So I then went to the bathroom, peed on the stick, and waited 5 minutes outside in the hallway. Craziest wait of my life. Time was up. We held hands, walked into the bathroom, grabbed the stick, and boom there it was, a plus sign meaning I was pregnant.

At the end of my pregnancy, I was looking up so many different articles about everything. I was becoming a new mom and I didn’t know much. I wanted to learn and be prepared as much as I possibly could. Googling the best baby products, googling best baby swaddle, the list went on and on. And sometimes I didn’t know which article to believe. I also then discovered baby sleep schedules and routines and that’s when I became so interested in baby sleep!

I didn’t know anything about baby sleep schedules; I had no idea that there were certain tools that could HELP WITH BABY SLEEP! I googled and googled…then googled some more. Once I learned everything, read countless articles, took baby sleep courses and read some more, I ended up learning so much. I loved it.

When my little one arrived, I was on it. It was great. I mean don’t get me wrong, I was a zombie. I was exhausted in the beginning, which every mom is, but it’s a phase, it gets better and better. Since I had learned and read about baby sleep schedules, it was a little easier. Nap times were not a struggle. I realized having a daily routine and sleep schedule in place was making this experience better.

I wanted to share everything I knew with new moms. I would think, “every mom needs to know this stuff, they need to know about baby sleep schedules, baby routines, and how sleep training helped me so much.” Sleep training my baby was so effective.

My baby was waking up once in the middle of the night, which I was so happy about. But when I finally went back to work and my maternity leave was over, I was so exhausted. Waking up in the middle of the night and then working the next day was draining me. I was so tired. I couldn’t handle it anymore. That’s when I finally decided to sleep train my baby and it changed my life! I wasn’t exhausted anymore (well not as much, let’s be honest). It worked!

I became a certified baby sleep consultant to help you! I want to help moms navigate this new chapter. I want your baby to sleep through the night and have a solid baby routine in place. I want you to sleep better at night without any interruptions. I want to give you the confidence and support you will need. I would love to help your baby become a good little sleeper.

Then Little Sleep Lab was created!
